Senior Mechanical Engineer
Mitchell received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) in 2010.
Growing up as the son of an automotive mechanic, and performing maintenance on his personal and family vehicles, Mitchell gained skill and knowledge regarding automotive systems and operation. During college, Mitchell completed an internship and co-op in the engineering and construction industry for various types of power plants. His time spent performing system calculations and developing equipment specifications provided him with an extensive background in piping and power systems, industrial environments, and various types of construction equipment. After graduation, Mitchell continued his professional career at the same company where he designed increasingly more complex systems and equipment as well as managed the associated contracts. This experience helped him develop skills resolving contractual and liability disputes.
Mitchell then moved on to work at an engineering consulting firm that designs fuel storage and transportation projects for the aviation and railroad industries. Working in these intrinsically safe environments put an added emphasis on meticulously designing and adhering to applicable codes and standards.
Throughout his career, Mitchell worked extensively with various 3D modeling and calculation software systems. He applied these skills to the creation and analysis of complex system and structure drawings. This combination of mechanical, computing, and contractual skills makes him a valuable asset in any forensic investigation.
